Access at Work: Celebrating
Global Accessibility Awareness Day
In recognition of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), celebrated this year on May 21st, Access Living partners with Disability:IN Chicagoland for a discussion on Access at Work led by Ashley Eisenmenger, Communications Director, and Karen Tamley, CEO, at Access Living.
The session will raise awareness of accessibility as a shared responsibility and explore practical strategies for building inclusive cultures through accessible digital spaces. Attendees will gain insights into how inclusive practices improve collaboration and innovation while aligning with the broader mission of Global Accessibility Awareness Day: encouraging people to think, talk, and learn about digital access and inclusion for people with disabilities.
This discussion will be followed by a reception on the Access Living rooftop, with light hors d’oeuvres and drinks. Don’t miss this stimulating discussion and your chance to network with professionals from local companies who support disability inclusion!

Disability E/BRG Leadership Within the Current Landscape
June 3, 2025
11:00am-12:00pm CDT
Online Webinar
In the last 18 months, many disability inclusion leaders have faced additional challenges when driving workplace inclusion through Employee/Business Resource Group (E/BRG) engagement.
Changing perceptions of E/BRG value have increased scrutiny of activities and diminished funding, leaving disability E/BRG leaders to shift their focus from managing a complicated external environment to justifying their work internally.
Join Disability:IN Chicagoland, and its partner — inQUEST Consulting — for a facilitated discussion on disability E/BRG leadership in today’s environment.
inQUEST Consulting, Sr. Partner, Pari Karim will guide the conversation in this highly interactive workshop addressing topics like:
Focusing E/BRG priorities in the context of the current landscape;
Navigating new E/BRG engagement frameworks; and
Relationship building among E/BRG leaders for ongoing support and collaboration.
